The Computer/Technical Services Section (CTSS) maintains a computer network that serves the many units and sections that comprise the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office. Housed in the Administration Building are the Incourt Section, Administrative Services, Clerical Support Staff, Grand Jury Section, Record Room, Special Investigations Section, Trial Teams and the Civil Forfeiture Section. Located at the Duncan Avenue Complex (BaseIII) are the Narcotic Task Force, Homicide, the Hudson County Laboratory, the Sexual Assault and Victim Assistance Unit (SAVA), and the Hudson County Sheriff's Office. Six computer servers administer the entire computer network that consists of more than 250 computers serving the various investigative and administrative units. These servers, that are configured and managed by the CTSS staff, also provide Internet access and email capabilities. Databases created by Staff members assist in tracking criminal investigations and manage Office administrative duties. CaseTrak, an in-house case management database, is used to track criminal records and case activity. CaseTrak is the primary case management tool used by the investigative and legal staff. Other databases created and maintained by CTSS personnel serve to track Megan's Law violators, fugitives from justice and narcotics offenders.

In addition to network administration and the troubleshooting duties associated with maintaining a computer network, members of the CTSS staff are also responsible for implementing the utilization of electronic surveillance equipment when needed. This includes setting up wiretaps and undercover audio and video. Additionally, CTSS staff members are tasked with the investigation of crimes in which computers were used in furtherance of illegal activity. Members of the CTSS staff are trained in computer forensic examination, allowing staff members to search seized computer drives and obtain evidence of criminal activity from the computer digital media.

The Computer/Technical Services Section also has the capability to scan images and documents and create anything from wanted posters to courtroom presentations.
